Fear and loathing

I liked this book because it was out of the norm, it represented that drug use could be a means of escaping the so called " boring life" we live in, their heavy drug use also shows that the american dream is truly wide open. I also think the drug use was a big part of the movie because almost every scene had some sort of drug. Even in the heavy drug use highlighted that america isnt exactly the best country in the world.

American Dream

the American Dream is the end all be all. Its what everyone strives for.. My dad always told my siblings and I that you need to work hard in order to be something. Some people try to take easy ways out. There isnt anything wrong with that but I think they would feel a better sense of accomplishment if they came up from nothing and came into everything. Not everyone can be what they want but if you have the mindset and the dedication, almost anything can be done. Most Americans want to get rich quick no matter what the means. You need to outline goals and set boundaries for yourself in order to succeed. People also shouldnt get the money in negatives ways or ways that society frowns upon. All they should do is work hard and believe in themselves and they will make it.
